It blends diverse specialties including biology, chemistry, physics, and others and has gained significant momentum leading to remarkable advancements in forensic techniques, septic science, crime scene evaluation, and adducing arguments in courts. The objective of this analysis is to present comprehensive insights into the dynamic role of forensic science in criminal investigations over the years and assessing forensic science techniques and keeping in view challenges occurring in the discipline. This thesis is constructed in a well-structured manner with varied chapters that would seamlessly flow from a wide literature review to historical observation of the evolution of forensic science and forensic techniques as well as challenges fluent in forensic science from the point of view of criminal justice. In chapter four, the role of forensic science will be scrutinized with respect to its wide functions including collection and evaluation of evidence, crime scene examination, expert witnessing, as well as case studies. Moreover, Chapter Five illuminate various types of forensic techniques which are forensically applied. Additionally, it will encompass advancements like digital forensics which is an amalgam of forensic science. Chapter seven will evaluate the array of challenges encountered by forensic science professionals including ethical concerns, admissibility in court, evidence mishandling, and backlog of cases.
